Braun Strowman

Vince McMahon considering Braun Strowman vs Brock Lesnar as main event for Summerslam

Braun Strowman vs Brock Lesnar is the WWE’s equivalent to King Kong vs Godzilla. At a combined weight around 700 pounds Strowman and Lesnar will be an attraction when they step into the ring together. Depending on the outcome of WWE Great Balls of Fire this weekend Strowman vs Lesnar looks like the match Vince McMahon is building towards for his second biggest show of the year.

Strowman is almost 400 pounds and looks like a scary Halloween Animatronic you’d see in a haunted house. He’s a legit strongman who can throw guys around the ring at will. Strowman had a rocket on his back earlier this year when he was main eventing RAW and going toe to toe with Roman Reigns before injuring his elbow in May. Since returning he’s back to his old self and making life really bad for Reigns once again. The two rivals will collide Sunday at Great Balls of Fire in an Ambulance Match. Rumor has it the match was made an Ambulance Match so Strowman wouldn’t have to pin Reigns. We all know McMahon is trying to build Reigns up so by putting in him in a match he doesn’t have to be pinned to lose it puts Strowman in position to get a big win over one of the top guys in the company without actually hurting the former Shield member.

Lesnar is going to beat Samoa Joe at Great Balls of Fire. Joe works a very stiff, strong style but no one believes he’s actually going to take the belt of the former UFC heavyweight champ. Once Lesnar vanquishes Joe McMaon can go right into an angle on Monday where Strowman comes out after a victory over Reigns and demands a title shot. Then it’s off to the races with Strowman vs Lesnar.

It’s highly unlikely that Strowman will beat Lesnar for the belt. The WWE seems to building up for a Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar rematch at Wrestlemania 34 in New Orleans. But even with a loss to Lesnar Strowman will still be a top guy on RAW. He could even be shipped to Smackdown one day and the champ on the Blue Brand.

We’ll have to tun in Sunday to see what happens at the pay per view. But if Strowman wins, it all but guarantees he’s facing Lesnar at Summerslam. Even with a loss to Reigns in the Ambulance Match Strowman could still come out on Monday and clean house and demand a match with Lesnar. It should be interesting.
