Rampage Jackson returned to Bellator after taking more than a year off from fighting due to his hairy contract situation that saw him go from Bellator in 2014 to the UFC in 2015 then back to Bellator in 2016. The former UFC light heavyweight champ is under a two fight deal and took on former Olympic gold medalist in the main event of Dynamite 2 last night in St. Louis.

Ishii gave Jackson a lot of problems and it wasn’t the prettiest fight to watch. Jackson went up to heavyweight and squeaked out a controversial split decision in his return to Bellator.

Jackson has now won five straight fights and will now have one more left on his Bellator deal before he can go back to the UFC to finish out his career. Bellator is rumored to be coming to Memphis in August or September and it’s likely that we see Rampage fight on that card.
