Bray Wyatt Wrestlemania 32

WWE Elimination Chamber 2017 Predictions

The Road to Wrestlemania officially kicks off at Royal Rumble but the next stop is Elimination Chamber this weekend. This is the last Smackdown pay per view before Wrestlemania so we can expect a lot of twists and turns to get us to Wrestlemania 33. The show features three women’s matches and the three blue brand titles will be defended. Let’s check out the matches.

Mickie James vs. Becky Lynch
Mickie James has been a thorn in Becky Lynch’s side for several months and I think “The Lass Kicker” gets the win. There’s really no need to keep this program going as Vince McMahon will likely have the Women’s title defended in a multi-woman match at Wrestlemania 33. James was brought in to get Lynch over, not the other way around. Lynch comes out on top with a clean pinfall.

Natalya vs. Nikki Bella
Nikki Bella is on her way out. With that being said, usually the wrestler who is about to retire or leave usually puts the other over on their way out. As much as fans want to see Bella win I don’t see it happening. Natalya gets the win and will be booked strong heading into Wrestlemania 33 where she will be involved in the title picture.

Randy Orton vs. Luke Harper
This one is easy to overthink. When you add in the dynamic of Bray Wyatt it’s easy to come up with all kinds of scenario. The bottom line is that Orton has a title shot at Wrestlemania 33 and needs to strong heading into the biggest show of the year. It wouldn’t surprise me to see Wyatt get involved but Orton gets the pin on Harper to look good heading into Mania.

Kalisto and Apollo Crews vs. Dolph Ziggler
Ziggler has been booked so poorly for the past few years that I don’t have a lot of faith in Vince McMahon handling him as a red hot heel right now. Logic tells you that “The Showoff” cheats and beats both lower-tier babyfaces but the WWE never does anything correctly with Ziggler. I’m going to go with Dolph getting the pin on Kalisto and they move on to Ziggler vs Crews for Wrestlemania.

SmackDown Tag Team Championship Turmoil Match
Heath Slater and Rhyno vs The Usos vs Breezango vs The Ascension vs The Vaudevillains vs American Alpha

The Smackdown tag team title picture is a joke. Aside from American Alpha there really isn’t any legit teams that fans think can win the belts. The Usos have some credibility and are doing well since their heel turn but I don’t see any reason to take the straps off of Alpha. Breezango, Ascension, The Vaudevillains or Slater and Rhyno aren’t going to win the belts, so it really comes down to the Alphas or the Usos. I’m taking the Alphas and I think we see Rhyno beat down Slater to set up a feud between the two.

SmackDown Women’s Championship Match
Naomi vs Alexa Bliss

There’s no reason to take the title off of Alexa Bliss right now. She’s doing a good with the belt and has an intriguing character. Naomi has no shot at winning. Bliss might not win clean but she retains the title and moves on the Wrestlemania 33 as the champ.

Elimination Chamber WWE Championship Match
Baron Corbin vs Dean Ambrose vs AJ Styles vs The Miz vs Bray Wyatt vs John Cena

This match is a little more difficult to pick. When you think about who has the title shot at Wrestlemania you automatically have to go with Bray Wyatt. Randy Orton vs Wyatt would be an intriguing matchup at Wrestlemania 33 since the two have been together for several months. Wyatt can with the belt without having to pin Cena and it keeps Cena strong heading into Mania.

I don’t see Corbin, Ambrose, Styles or Miz winning. I’d love to see any of the four come out on top and surprise everyone but I don’t see it happening. A Cena win wouldn’t surprise me but I don’t see why they put him in the match if they didn’t want the title to come off of him. The rumor is that McMahon wants to go with Miz and Maryse vs Cena and Niki Bella at Wrestlemania 33 so I see Miz pinning Cena or costing him the title. Wyatt wins the title and moves on to Wrestlemania as the champ which sets up a lot of intrigue between he and Orton who are partners and on a collision course for the belt in April.
