Undertaker had a great run with the WWE. From 1990 to 2017 “The Dead Man” ruled the yard and was the main attraction for most of his time working for Vince McMahon. Last night he wrestled Roman Reigns in the main event of Wrestlemania 33 in a thrilling match that symbolized a changing of the guard. Reigns pinned Taker in the middle of the ring after a big spear. As the show was closing Undertaker took off his gloves, hat and duster and placed them in the middle of the ring.

In MMA a fighter places his gloves in the cage after a fight to show he has retired. It’s something that has been done for years and shows fans that you are done fighting.
There have been rumors for years that Undertaker was retiring but he always came back to wrestle at Wrestlemania. Now we will have to wait and see if he gets the itch next Spring to come back one more time for Wrestlemania 34 in New Orleans. It’s hard to imagine Wrestlemania without the Undertaker but the WWE has been grooming fans over the years as he has cut back his schedule and only wrestled at Mania for the past few years.
After the match former rival Mick Foley as well as a lot of other WWE wrestlers tweeted out their support of Undertaker in retirement.

Roman Reigns will have the rub after the match and will be known as the guy to retire the Undertaker. Fans have been reluctant to embrace Reigns as Vince McMahon has shoved him down their throats the last three years. If Reigns were to turn hell and embrace all the hate he could be one of the hottest villains in the WWE. But, if you know anything about the WWE, as long as he is selling a lot of t-shirts they will keep Reigns as a good guy for a very long time.
