Chris Jericho captured the one WWE Title that has alluded him during his 18 year career tonight on RAW. Jericho became the United States Champion after he pinned Roman Reigns in a handicap match with Kevin Owens. Reigns was dominant early but in the end two guys on one was too much for the former Shield member.

Jericho will now hold the title as he heads to the Royal Rumble later this month. He will be hanging over the ring while Owens faces Reigns for the WWE Universal Title and then will participate in the Royal Rumble match later in the evening as well.
Eventually Owens is going to turn on Jericho and the best friends will likely battle it out at Wrestlemania 33 in April. Jericho has reinvented himself this year into one of his best incarnations yet with the scarves and “List of Jericho”. The fans desperately want to cheer him since he is so entertaining but he’s been booked as a hell for over a year.
It’s also nice to see Jericho get a title. He’s been losing every Monday to Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins for months so even though he beat Reigns in a handicap match it’s nice to see him get a run with the United States title for a while. Next week on RAW should be fun with Owens and Jericho both holding titles, running their mouths promoting the Rumble.
Reigns is now freed up to take the title from Owens and then move onto a big match at Wrestlemania 33 possibly with Goldberg or Undertaker. Braun Strowman is also a possibility as the two men have been getting into it the past few weeks on RAW.
