George Roop vs David Kaplan UFC 98

Last week we reported that George Roop would be fighting on UFC Fight Night 18 in Nashville on April 1st. It turns out his fight got pushed back. Sources today told AroundTheOctagon.com that George Roop is scheduled to fight former Team Mir teammate David Kaplan at UFC 98 in Las Vegas.

Roop is coming off a disappointing split decision loss to Shane Nelson that could have gone either way and looks to get back on the winning path against Kaplan. This will be the fifth lightweight from The Ultimate Fighter that Roop will have fought. He defeated Roli Delgado and John Polakowski and lost to Phillipe Nover in the semi-finals.

Kaplan lost to Junie Browning at the Finale after making a name for himself by eating semen laced sushi on The Ultimate Fighter. On the show Kaplan defeated Fernando Bernstein and lost to Phillipe Nover.
