Paul Kelly vs. Matt Veach, Jon Madsen vs. Mustapha Al-Turk slated for UFC 112
ATO has confirmed with a source at the HIT squad that Matt Veach and Jon Madsen will both be appearing at UFC 112 alongside Matt Hughes.
Matt Veach will face Paul Kelly in a lightweight showdown. Veach is coming off a disappoining loss to Frankie Edgar at the TUF 10 Finale. It was Veach’s first pro loss. Kelly is also coming off a loss. He lost to Denis Siver at UFC 105 in Manchester, England.
Jon Madsen will face Mustapha Al-Turk after he was rumored to take Al-Turk’s place at UFC 109 when Al-Turk had visa issues. Madsen defeated Justin Wren at the TUF 10 Finale in December. Al-Turk is coming off a controversial loss to Mirko Cro Cop at UFC 99. Al-Turk had been poked in the eye before the fight was stopped due to strikes. This fight is likely do or die for Al-Turk. After an 0-2 start in the UFC he needs a win to keep his job.
