Jon Madsen steps up to face Rolles Gracie at UFC 109

Update
According to the source at the HIT squad the UFC withdrew the offer to Madsen earlier today and Madsen will no longer be at UFC 109.

ATO reported on Friday that Mustapha Al Turk was having visa issues and may not be able to compete on the UFC 109 card in Las Vegas Saturday. Jon Madsen was being considered as a replacement at the time. ATO just confirmed with a source at the HIT squad that Madsen has accepted the fight and will face undefeated Rolles Gracie next weekend.

Madsen was recently featured on the tenth season of The Ultimate Fighter. He defeated Abe Wagner in the first round and fell to the eventual runner up Brendan Schaub in the second round. At the Finale Madsen defeated housemate Justin Wren to earn another opportunity in the UFC. Should Madsen defeat Gracie he could be in line for a big fight in the late Spring.
