ATO has learned from a source close to the Roop camp that Rob Emerson has suffered an injury and has withdrawn from his fight at UFC 101 against George Sotiropoulos. George Roop has agreed to take the fight on two weeks notice.

Both fighters are Ultimate Fighter alums. Roop was on season 8. Sotiropoulos was featured on season 6.

Roop earned a split decision over Dave Kaplan at UFC 98 after dropping a controversial split decision loss to Shane Nelson at the Ultimate Fighter 8 season finale last December.

Sotiropoulos is on a three fight win streak. He defeated Roman Mitichyan last April at UFC Fight Night 13.
